Beauty Never Dates

Thoughts ,Beauty,Make-up

This is another of my old loves. There are many memories of this lipstick/gloss. Mostly because it was the color my sister wore on her wedding. This shade is perhaps the only brown I would wear. Those who don't like sticky lip glosses should stay away from this. Though I must emphasize that sticky ones are the ones that last. The color that I am reviewing to day is a brown color bordering on rust but not as over powering. It is from the old collection of the line. It is not available online but I am sure you can find this in the store. The collection it self is beautiful, so even if you don't like this particular shade you can at least get one that you like.
Pros
  1. Easy to use packaging
  2. Long lasting
  3. Available in a plethora of shades
  4. Can have great control
  5. Does not leak
  6. Not too expensive
  7. Moisturizing
  8. Easy to carry around
  9. Pigmented
  10. Light shimmer
Cons
  1. Sticky
  2. Sponge applicators are not very hygienic
Final verdict : Great to have in any busy woman's purse . I love it

I need to talk more than write on this blog. I think its getting too formal so now I shall not edit what I write. Which means that this *blank * article is not going to be cut off. All logical thought goes out and I just type what comes to my brain. I should shut off Bubzbeauty. Alright so yes back to my article. I have not planned what to write so lets see where this goes. Well normally small talk begins with the weather, right ? Its sooo hot. OMG its like no joke it should be cooler its only February. Its gonna get more hot. Nope I'm bored this is not working out. Lets try what I am doing tomorrow. I am going to watch the * Blank * pianist no! the artist. See I dint even backspace. Oh ! the funniest thing happened today. I was talking to a girl, I turned, then turned back again and she was sleeping. Ha ! I was like what !? hm..... I just realized that my brain always thinks of "ok" "alright" and "so" when I want to begin a statement or sentence. Why do I say statement ? Oh yeah I had a law class that I was thinking about. BTW I dont think you all know but ... Why did I write but ! ugh stupid brain. I am sleepy it is 9 :00 and I am sleepy. I just realized I think "oh" too a lot. Am I the only person who types alot instead of a lot ? * Deep Breath* This is not going anywhere I should probably not post this. Its not even funny. Which reminds me of this moment of not being funny. We were in class and our teacher was trying an "interactive" session. She asked us to say a joke. I went up on stage fully memorized with this joke I saw on that show that john mor...no what was his name ? I cant remember. It was that stand up show that used to come. Where was I ? Oh yeah the joke, so I went stood on the podium and said the joke. After 3 min of silence one girl laughed so hard. the whole class started laughing you know why? because no one got the joke! I should probably explain the title. You see me and my sister have this habit of quoting random stuff each day. I dont know why but we quote a lot of movie stuff and stuff we make up our selves. This one was me. I was just about to type "SO" and then I realized how many times I did that. Anyway I am going to conclude this little diary like session for now. Hope you guys enjoyed it and if you dint then... *squealing* "the world needs more bunnies"
Did you ever want to flaunt those collar bones ? But couldn't because of acne. At first I thought why not google it? But then I realized why take the support of google when I could write from my experience. So here is what happened. Since the past 3 to 4 years I have been getting some acne on my decolletage ( chest/ neck ). At first I dint bother about it but then like all things you ignore, it got worse. It was horrible not only the itching but also the marks . Lets just say it did not look like acne and looked like something you wouldn't want to be showing off ! One day a teacher actually stopped me and demanded me to tell what it was. I soon found out it was hormonal. It would come at that time of the month. Thankfully though now it has been over 5 months since I have been clean of the acne. Here are some of things that I felt really worked for me.
  1. Apply rose water ,either spray or on a cotton ball on the acne to easy itching and redness
  2. Apply chandan and rose water paste to calm the acne at night
  3. Avoid wearing chains or anything that could cause friction
The thing though that has help the best is green tea. I started drinking a cup of green tea every day for the past 7 months or so ( Not religiously though). It never occurred to me until last week I was going to a wedding and I remembered how I had stopped putting concealer on my decolletage area. This is when I realized that the green tea had a connection. Green tea is known for clearing up the toxins in the body. I take peppermint, Moroccan mint and Strawberry flavoured. They are yum ! Now I don't have to worry about wearing concealer to college I can actually wear necklaces. I have not worn one in years. I just want to put it out there that green tea has not reduced the acne on my face. Not that I have much but still.

Bottom Line : Green tea cured my decolletage acne
I was on a search to find a nice mascara for college. It gets really hot in summer and sometimes even waterproof mascara smudges ew! After much research I decided to go for the Maybelline Define a lash. I really like the concept of it because I wanted a natural yet defined look. I dint want to go to college looking like I had fake lashes on. I bought it immediately. It has been a good 10 months since then and OMG I love it. It is the most waterproof mascara ever. I rub my eyes a lot its a bad habit of mine and by the time I come home not a smudge under my eye. Even though it has been so long it has not dried out on me. Don't worry I am going to buy a new one soon. I know I should not be using it but I love it anyway lets get on to the black and white part.
Pros
  1. Cute packaging
  2. Really waterproof
  3. Holds curl fantastic
  4. Can be found easily
  5. Unique wand
  6. No clumping
  7. Nice for college or day jobs
Cons
  1. I dont really like the bendy wand
  2. It makes lashes stiff
  3. Need make up remover to take off
  4. Expensive
Final Verdict : I actually really like it for college. I like the stiff lashesPrice  : 500 rps

I love a little glamour in life , whenever I used to see my brushes I always thought to add some sparkle to them . Hence I came up with this idea of adding rhinestones to my brush set  .This particular brush set ( &1 mac brush ) Im using is from MIKYAJY .This company has one of the best brush sets I have ever tried , they are so soft and realy cheap . Although they are not very popular in India and the US but recently they have hit europe and pixiwoo sisters have also mentioned there body products in there Jan favorites video. I got these brushes when I was in the Saudi Arabia and are available across the middle east .The rhinestones I used are from a local craft shop , you can find them online on ebay .To get started you need  :

    Alcohol wipe
-Alcohol wipe to clean the rims of the brushes in order to remove any dust or product.
-Tweezers, pin ,Fabric glue ( water resistent ) or a hot glue gun , and Rhinestones
    -Obviously brushes

Start off by applying the glue in a horizontal line around the barrel .Start placing the stones on the brush and make sure you dont leave any gap between the gems . The particular glue I used dries clear and apply glue generously .I did three rows on each brush you may do more or less as you wish . Remember this process needs patience but its all worth it at the end .You may choose to apply any colour rhinestone you like and any size . You can use alternative colours or even apply a coat of nail polish under the stones in order to intensify the stones colour .

Another tip use stones of smaller size they seem to fit more precicly and last long . I have washed these brushes several times over a year and I havent lost a single stone . I hope you all enjoy it .
I was one of those people who really dint like eye lash curlers. I thought it was a waste of money. But then I decided why not try it out. Eye lash curlers are the best thing ever !! I am a total convert when it comes to eye lash curlers. If you have not jumped on the band wagon yet then you are missing out on something huge. I know some might be scared of it, I assure you it is totally safe to use. The effect is so dramatic that sometimes I only curl my lashes and don't even add mascara. I cannot think of putting mascara on without curling my lashes. For all those girls who have small eyes this is a blessing in disguise. Here is a small before and after picture that I took to show you the difference. Please excuse my unruly lashes

    Before

    After
     Pros
    1. It is cheap
    2. Easily available
    3. Works well
    4. Grips help a lot
    5. The curler is nice for my small eyes
    6. Sturdy

    Cons
    1. Since it is a spring form it cannot be stored easily
Final verdict : A must have for sure !!!

I have had this product now for about 7 months or maybe even more. I first found it one day when I was random shopping in Health and Glow. I picked up the small tester version of it. I love it when companies do that and now I bought my self the 100ml version. I had this belief that clean and clear was a very gimmicky company but I cannot tell you how wrong I was. Yes, This is my holy grail face wash. Now a bit of history on my skin. I have combination -dry skin. It is sensitive to face washes that contain high perfume. I usually end up with red patches on my face even when I used lakme face wash. Clean and clear is amazing at least for me and I will tell you why
    Pros
    1. Cheap
    2. Easily available
    3. Does not irritate skin
    4. Makes the skin feeling clean and smooth
    5. Gives a glow to my skin
    6. Does not dry me out too much
    7. Comes in a nice sturdy bottle
    8. You need very little to clean your face
     Cons
    1. I kind of like the smell but it is not something to get excited about
Final Verdict: If you are looking for a good cleanser in the morning on a budget. Do get it.

I am one of those people who does not beat around the bush when it comes to long articles but quite honestly I am just lazy today. So No intro lets just get in to the tips !
    1) Link Within
So link within is a widget that you can use for your posts. The widget basically selects article from your blog and links them below every post. This is incredibly useful for several reasons. The first is that some times people don't visit your blog but read your articles isolated. In such a case having article linked down would build a platform for them to explore articles they are potentially interested in. The fact that it is linked right below the article means that this is where the reader has lost their interest and is ready for gaining more by clicking on the next article .Click Here For Link
My experience : My average page views are around a 100 since I added link within it became 200 !
    2) Gain Credibility :
I was attending a lecture on new media in which the speaker called bloggers "people who sit in their bedrooms and have internet connection". To an extent he is true. As a blogger it is important to make sure that people trust you. Joining online blogger organizations help gain credibility. I have listed below some organization that you can join and they are all free. Get your badge from the site and place it on your blog. They are incredible for gaining exposure to various companies too.
    www.beautylish.com
    http://www.indiblogger.in/
    http://www.blogadda.com/
    http://ifabbo.com/

3)Keep it short, Keep it smart
On an average I spend  a maximum of 10 min on a blog. It usually hovers around less than 5 min. If I spend 4 min reading one article then I am too saturated to explore that blog and I skip to something else. Instead if I spent 3 min reading an article then I would be stimulated enough to go for another article. Be smart, you don't need to fit as much matter in to an article as you can. Remember the reason you are writing a blog is for your opinion. Skip the general information and get to the point.
    4)Layout your heart:
Your blog layout is very important. When I started out it was very different from this. I personally wanted something but got something else. Play around with your layout a bit and don't try too hard. You must understand that words don't have much style to them. The background, font style, Header etc all are an expression of who you are most importantly to your target audience. Don't stress much let it grow and see how it shapes. Make sure it is what you are not what you like.
    5) Scheduling:
I remember the first time I started blogging it was like I was in a mad race. All I wanted to do was shell out articles. Now in retrospect I think it was a phase I needed to go through. You must understand that blogging is like talking. It has to be natural. If you rush it , it will look fake and may reduce the quality. Take your time. If you want to write 3 articles in a day go for it but if you dont want to then you dont need to. I have some things to do on non-blogging days
    1. Promote yourself by using company facebook pages and linking you articles
    2. Socialize in the community
    3. Check your statistics, this helps in customizing your articles according to your audience
    4. Go over old article to check for any updates
    5. Chill and watch TV ! we need our off time too you know
So lovely members of the Beauty community I hope you found this helpful. Lots of luck for your future.

This is one really old lipstick. So much so that I believe it is not available. The Maybelline wet shine was one of the first gloss like lipstick. If you are wondering yes this again one of my mom's lipstick. I like raiding her closet for stuff to review. This was one of her first love and let me tell you she has gone through 5 of these. It must tell something about the quality. The lipstick it self is very moisturizing. It came in a very cute pink package, sleek and compact. The color is a deep pinky-purple. I don't believe it shows up well since it has been some time since we have had this.
    Pros
    1. It is well pigmented
    2. Photographs well
    3. Has nice packaging
    4. It suites quite a bit of skin tones
    5.  Has moisturizing properties
    Cons
    1. Not available
    2. Does not have a glamorous look
    3. Does not last very long
    4. The frost might not be for everyone
I want to keep this review short and sweet. First of all though the product is a mascara gel I use it as brow gel. I think it is absolutely irrelevant to have a clear mascara. If you want a natural look then splash water on your face I promise it will give the same effect. Just if you are curious this product is not good if you want to use it as a mascara. In fact it is so bad as a mascara that I wont even go into that. Please consider the following as a review of it in the role of eyebrow gel
    Pros
    1. Comes through brows easily
    2. Really makes the brows stiff ( which I like)
    3. The brows don't budge once the gel is on
    4. Convenient packaging
    5. Cheap
    6. I does not wash of easily with a splash of water
    7. My brows dint fall out
    Cons
    1. Not easily available
    2. The brush is too big which makes for excess product around the brow
Final Verdict: I think its great to keep in the purse for touch ups. I love it
    Price:180

Elle 18 has for me been a brand I have used since I was really small. I loved the whole girly make-up concept. After many years I have now purchased an Elle 18 lipstick. This particular one was gifted to me by my twin because of my obsession with red lipstick. This lipstick has only doubled that obsession. I love it. Not only does is glide on beautifully it has a nice taste to it. The color is not overpowering and is great to add a hint of color to my lips. I can wear it full on for a nice bold look.
    Pros
    1. It is super cheap
    2. Easily available
    3. Nice pigmentation
    4. Hydrating
    5. Is a cream finish
    6. Can be layered on
    7. Does not spread
    8. Cute packaging
    Cons
    1. Not long lasting
Final Verdict: I would say get it as it wont burn a whole in your pocket. I love using it to deepen nude lipsticks.
    Price:100 rps

This was a gift that I received with a purchase. I gave it to my mom because I dint like it. I must say this one colour from Revlon that is a disappointment. I don't know if I mentioned this before but I hate frosted lipsticks. I think frost just is not flattering to any lip/skin colour. I think someone just has to convince me otherwise. This colour is a brownie - pink with more brown than pink. The reason why I hate frost so much is because I feel that it not only emphasizes lines but also puts shadows at the wrong places. Anyway lets get it to the Pros and Cons
    Pros
    1. It is pigmented
    2. Glides on perfectly
    3. Great packaging
    4. The frost can be dealt with a bit of gloss
    Cons
    1.  The color is not very flattering
Final Verdict : I don't like the color but do check out the range.
    Price: 550

This was one of my holiday purchases. I got this just because for some reason I am addicted to long staying lipsticks. Unfortunately though they always end up being a disappointment. This one is different. Honestly I dont know if I was to hate this one of Love it. The Revlon colorstay Overtime Lipcolor comes in a duo of two glosses. The first one is clear with a brush tip applicator. The second one is pigmented and comes with a sponge tip applicator. You are supposed to apply the pigmented side, wait a few seconds and then apply the clear gloss on top.
    Pros
    1. The color is beautiful
    2. It has a great finish
    3. No chemical like smells
    4. Does not emphasise lines
    5. Great for day time
    6. Does last really long
    Cons
    1. The clear side has a weird texture
    2. Way too expensive
    3. Tiny amount of product
    4. Availability is an issue
Final verdict: I love the color but it really is way too expensive for the amount of product. Buy only if you really cant find a better alternative other wise give it a skip

I already mentioned about my love for the Maybelline moisture extreme lipsticks. This was my second buy of that day. This is a deep almost berry - brick kind of a colour. It looks absolutely gorgeous in photographs. My mom was on a hunt for an easy to apply colour for my sister's wedding. She wanted a dark long lasting colour that did not require and touch-ups or gloss. She is pretty old so she was particular about the finish. This lipstick was a winner. I could not take my eyes of my mom's lips through out the wedding especially in the bright lights the lipstick had such a great sheen to it. She loves it and is planning for a back -up too. The shade is a nice shade for more mature audiences and is complimentary to all skin tones.
    Pros
    1. Beautiful colour
    2. Pictures great
    3. Does not emphasise lines
    4. Nice pigmentation
    5. Sturdy packaging
    6. Easy to store in the purse
    7. Lasting power is good not great.
    Cons
    1. It is know for breaking
    2. I wish it lasted longer.
Tip: If your lipstick breaks simply put it together and leave it in the freezer overnight.
Final Verdict : Its great do check it out. I would recommend buying it.

This was one of the most random buys I have even made. Random for two reasons, I could barely see the colour because of the dark lighting and second because I was not even planning to buy a lipstick. It takes a lot for me to ignore everything and buy a lipstick. The Maybelline moisture extreme have always been a rave since it launched. The cheap, hyper pigmented, glide on soft lipsticks are my favourite from Maybelline. I would buy every shade and hoard it if it were up to me. This particular shade is exactly what the name says except dont imagine baby pink think more hot pink. The shade is what I would call a muted red. Its great to wear it as a stain or full on for a wedding.
    Pros
    1. Beautiful pigmentation
    2. Absolutely no shimmer
    3. Glides on easily
    4. Does not emphasise lines
    5. Can be worn as a stain
    6. Creamy and not drying
    7. Very cheap
    Cons
    1. The bullet tends to break easily
Final Verdict : Must buy for any one who like creamy lipstick. They are available in many shades too
    Price:220rps

I got these when I was traveling. It looked really neat three tiny glosses that I could pop in my purse at any time. L'Oreal Glam shine have always been a sensation from when it was launched. The heart shaped center still seems to be the main attraction. If you have ever bought travel packages before you would know that essentially they contain colors that are to be flattering to every skin color. The success is when all the colors are also compatible with all skin tones rather than specific colors. Here the color choice fails. I am what would be considered an ' olive' skin tone. One color suits me but the other two don't and that makes a waste of colors.
    Rose Crystal:
Rose crystal is the typical mid-tone pink that is super flattering to Indian skin tones. It also s pretty universal in being flattering to light and dark skin tones. Its what you could call a safe color. The pigmentation is great on it and the gloss it self glides on great. I am a huge fan of the tiny packaging too.

    Sand Crystal:

This color is clearly meant for darker skin complexions. It also is hard to explain it is a brown-grey color. Yes, Grey ! I tried to make this color work but it just washes me out or just looks muddy on my skin tone. I wish it was more wearable. I cant even use it to top off a nude color or anything. It is a real put off.

    Coral Strass:
This is clear gloss with pink shimmer. I know its not as prominent in the photo but trust me it does. This gloss works a bit better as I can put it on top of any lipstick.Though I am not quite sure I am a fan of hot pink shimmer on my lips. I wouldn't hate much on it ,its just not my type.
Its a perfect definition of a fruity burst in your day . One of a product that I discovered when I ventured in the Mikyajy store . This is one of the bath and body line products . I must agree the packaging draw me towards it , but apart from all other scented body products this was different . This came in a package of 4 products listed below.
    -BUBBLE BATH & SHOWER CRÈME
    -BODY BUTTER
    -GLOSSY LIP BALM
    -EXFOLIATING SHOWER SMOOTHIE

After the first use of this product I was left raving about its fragrance . Unlike most body and bath products whose scent or fragrance barely lasts on your body for a hour or so , this product scent lasted me a day and more .It also stayed true to its scent and didn't change over time . If I had to pick the best product out of all is the lip balm , it is soo.. nourishing and soo.. conditioning leaving the a little hint of a berry tint on your lips . The body products are also quite conditioning and helped my skin allot during the winters keeping it soft and healthy .This product is available in different scents ,I Love Mango & Papaya ,I Love Lemon & Limes ,I Love Vanilla & Ice Cream ,and I Love Strawberries & Milkshake . I recently saw the pixiwoo sisters also raving about it. Hence I lOVE RASPBERRY AND BLACKBERRY .

Final verdict : Amazing , This product is available in all Mikyajy stores or visit there website for further details -http://www.mikyajy.com/eng/Cat_Body.html
