Beauty Never Dates

Thoughts ,Beauty,Make-up

It has been quite sometime now since I re-started this blog. I thought it would be apt to just write some stuff especially since I am pretty caught up with college work. There is so much I want to share with you but it takes a lot of planning. Many times I just plan about what I want to write and make sure that it is organized enough for you to understand. I have been short on time lately. I just ordered something off utsav fashion. Once I get the order I will be able to write a full review on it so that is something that you can look forward too. I also have my daily make up routine on the back burner. I know I have a beauty blog but I feel that it is my responsibility to not make this into a review place. I like writing about my days. I totally have stopped wearing kajal. Its so hot it is impossible to wear kajal. My lips too have gone as dry as anything. It really has never been so dry. Watching knight and day and OMG envying Cameron Diaz ! So back to topic I know I have not been posting much but its only because I want to be real with the blog. I should be posting some more in depth profiling of movie looks once my exams are done . Till then take care and be safe !
Before you begin judging I am going to tell you that I too was like you. I first was introduced to fashion and you a long time ago but due to bad reviews I decided to skip it. Recently I heard some good things about how their service changed for the better so decided why not ?! I bought a shampoo that I will be reviewing soon. So yeah I thought its better for me to try it out and just see what I get. I am happy with my experience. I really am. This perhaps is going to be the first review I do where I wont be all you have to buy from here only because I have heard not so good stuff and I dont want you to risk your money.
Products:
Their products range is huge. It is a daily discount kind of site. By which I mean that the site adds new products everyday with new offers.
Costumer Service:
The service was prompt I dint really have any problem with the delivery so I cannot really tell how their problem management skills are.
Shipping:
They clearly mention the it will takes about 10 days and I got my delivery 9 days after my order. This is because they only ship their products after the particular sale ends. They also have express shipping option.
Price:
The discounts are pretty good but dont expect the whole 90 % off. They do have good little discounts. I wont say its too bad.
Packaging:
The shampoo was packed in loads of bubble wrap. The box was actually pretty flimsy but nothing was broken or anything. The box was wrapped in a white paper with Fashion and You written.
Final Verdict: I would say my experience was great what was promised was delivered. But be careful with the site and be smart about what you buy
Products Bought - Boots Honey and Oatmeal Shampoo - 600ml- 480 rps
I am a shampoo-holic ( if that is a word ?) whenever a shampoo finishes I have to get a new brand. I like experimenting with my shampoos, I oil my hair religiously to prevent any adverse effects. This time I decided to go for Enliven. Now I must tell you that my holy grail shampoo is Herbal Essence Body Envy. I love it and I will be comparing this shampoo to it. In terms of packaging the shampoo comes in long cylindrical plastic bottle. It has nothing great about it. Its matte in finish and is kind of flimsy. I would avoid dropping it.
The shampoo it self is a clear runny gel. I really dont like the scent. I heard a lot about the conditioner and thought maybe it would be great instead it turned out to be a big bummer. It smells awfully sweet like some fake sugary candy. Some may like it but I really dint.

Pros
  1. Adds volume
  2. Is super cheap
Cons
  1. Not easily available
  2. Smell is too sweet
  3. Dries my hair out
  4. Very hard to cuff
  5. Has all sorts of chemicals
  6. Packaging is not attractive
Final verdict : Do not buy it. I would rather spend my money on Herbal Essence they are much better than this !

When I heard about the Rimmel Kate Moss collection I must be honest I was kind of turned off. I am not a fan of Kate Moss but I am a fan of Rimmel. They really do have some amazing products.

The Kate Moss collection being no exception. The packaging is sleek. It Has two separate finishes of black. A more glossy one on top and a matte on on the base. The cap is signed by Kate with a heart.

The lipstick its self is a gorgeous shade especially for darker skin tones. I love it a lot. Now I must warn you it has photographed a bit more bright that of what it is. It is a matte straight up Ruby Red. It is slightly scented with cherry.

The color pay off is amazing there is nothing I can complain about. It is highly pigmented and glides on beautifully. I have rather pigmented lips and I dont have to worry about that. The bullet it self is shaped such that it is easy to apply.
Pros
  1. Pigmented
  2. Smells beautiful
  3. Great packaging
  4. Stays long
  5. Complimentary to several skin tones
  6. Matte without being drying
  7. Available in many shade
Cons
  1. Availability.
Final Verdict: Whenever you find it grab it you wont be disappointed.

Eye pencils are always something that can be very dependent on personal choices. For me I think one of the most hardest things to get right for a company is foundation and eye pencils.

I was surprised at the size of the Deborah pencil it really is long for an eye pencil. I though it would be much shorter.

The consistency of the pencil is something I think the company got bang on. The pencil is soft enough to not tug but hard enough to sustain it self. It does not become blunt too easy so I dont end up sharpening as much.

The only issue I have with the product is the pigmentation. It just does not look as vibrant as it should. It is a dull greyish purple on the eyes and hence does nothing to make it worth being a pop of colour.
Pros
  1. Consistency
  2. Not too expensive
  3. Long Pencil
  4. Does not require constant sharpening
  5. Glides on easy
  6. Available online
Cons
  1. Is not pigmented
  2. Not at all Vibrant
  3. I feel the need to go over as I feel it give gaps when I apply it
  4. Is not long lasting as claimed
Final Verdict : I would try it in black. But definitely not in this shade.

When I saw this gloss I thought "hmm.. looks interesting" unfortunately this was a bummer for me. I did not really like it. Now I always find a way to make a product work but this one just dint seem like it.

The packaging is good. Its not something I would die and go to heaven for but its not horrible either. The wand though is my problem.
It is just too flimsy I wonder what the point was behind it because it just moves around when you are trying to put gloss on. Its not completely a waste but its not easy to use.

The good thing though is the shimmer it is absolutely beautiful. It does nothing for pigmented lips as it is a sheer gloss but over a lipstick it would be great.
Pros
  1. Beautiful Shimmer
  2. Available online
  3. Does not leak
Cons
  1. The wand is too flimsy
  2. Its smell is not attractive
  3. It is sticky
  4. It is sheer
  5. The price is way too much for it
Final Verdict : You could get a better gloss for a cheaper price. Skip it !
Price : 595 rps

I am not much of a packaging person but I must say when I first received this lipstick in the parcel I was shocked at how gorgeous it looks. The wonderful metallic shine its real luxury.

This is one product I would say that you are paying the price of the packaging rather than the actual product. But then again is it worth it? For the packaging 100 % , for the product? not so much.
These lipsticks are very creamy and have a slight frost to them. They do have the common problem that comes with creamy lipsticks.

That is stability, the product is very soft hence while swatching it kind of bent from the bottom. The color it self is a deep maroon with a silver frost.
Pros
  1. Packaging
  2. Available on many online sites
  3. Complimentary to dark skins
  4. Very pigmented
  5. Photographs well
Cons
  1. Does not flatter dry lips
  2. Breaks easy
  3. Expensive
  4. Not readily available in retail outlets
Final verdict : If you want a good lipstick you could get a much  better one for the price. But if you want a good looking lipstick check this one out.
Price : 560 rps

Hey everyone how is life treating you? I know its getting so hot plus here in Hyderabad we are having load shedding for 2 hours. No way ! I just wanted to let you guys know whats up with me and what I plan for the blog. I just finished my internals so I am excited about that. I have a few seminars that are going on that is making me late from college. The combination of load shedding and college has delayed my articles a lot. I plan to catch up and get started from Saturday. I have quite a few product reviews and swatches lined up along with some information articles. They are " how to buy :..." articles like How to buy: Foundation etc.Tell me what you think about it and plus what you want me to write about. I just really want to get to speed with my blog. Lots of Love and have a great day Good Night !
I love many things related to Korea. I know it seems odd since I am Indian and have never been to Korea but recently I discovered K-pop and now there is no going back. In fact to be honest I am listening to a Korean song this moment. If your read my blog you would know that I am experimenting with Asian Masks. I came across Konad Niju masks. I think Konad is Korean but I am not 100 % sure. These are sheet masks. The reason I sought to get them was because they were only 60 rps. Cheapest sheet masks that I found. I used the brightening one while my mom used the Age Defying one. In general these are not a total waste of money if you want to try sheet masks.
Pros
  1.  The sheet comes in a nice packaging
  2. Cheap
  3. Gives a nice cooling effect
  4. Helped with little bumps on my forehead.
  5. Gave my mom a nice glow
  6. Is not messy
  7. Has a Pleasant smell
Cons
  1. The sheet is hard to work with
  2. The instructions ask to avoid blemishes and pimples which is not suitable for acne prone skin
  3. I dint feel the mask helped as I would prefer massaging the gel to soak in my skin
  4.   I dint notice too great an effect.
Final verdict: I would prefer gels but its not a total waste of money go for it .Its nice for the summers as it is incredibly cooling. Just dont expect a miracle
Price : 60 rps

I just did a blog post and realized that it was my 100th blog post. I cant really believe I wrote 100 posts my self. WOW thats a lot. Alright maybe not the most. Summers are a hard time when it comes to a girl. Especially a college going girl. All you think about is how not to look like a sweaty pig ! :( For me its about looking cute.  I love being fresh in the summers at all times. I carry around an arsenal of "refreshing" products. I am not going to stretch the review and come to the point. The kara wipes are amazing. Reason because they come in a variety of types. Each for a certain skin type and use. The first ones I tried had Jojoba oil and Avocado. I found that one too moisturizing and it left my skin looking oily. So this time I tried the Aloe Vera and Cucumber one. A blessing it is. I love it. Everything about it is to love, the fragrance, the packaging and the feeling. It does not make me feel oily afterwards. It dries to a matte on the face. It takes care of odors with a mild perfume like fresh scent. It is gentle enough to cleanse without irritating the skin.

Final Verdict : A must have for summers. You wont regret it !
Price: 52 rps for 20 wipes

I dont know if you noticed or not but there have been quite the boom in the beauty market in terms of Korean beauty brands. I have heard a lot about korean brands before not only of the blogging world but also youtube. Koreans and all south east asians are very particular about their skin. You can almost trust them blind folded. After BB creams I think all of us are left wanting more from our neighbors. So what did I do ? Well went online and bought my self a face mask. My choice was the Pure Derm Dual Well Being Pack. The name it self is quite a miss. Because it is not a 'pack'. Its actually a gel and you dont have to peel it. Its a massaging gel. It is enriched with collagen and olive oil. Now this is not any other mask so dont expect the same. Your skin will not feel clean , refreshed or less tanned. To be honest at first I was disappointed. I did not understand how the pack worked. The  very next day I got 2 compliments on my skin. I never get compliments on my skin. The pack will give you one generous use and 2 stingy ones. I would recommend this pack to more mature or dry skins.
Pros
  1. Cheap
  2. leaves your skin glowing
  3. Has collagen and olive oil
  4. Great use and throw packaging
  5. Available online
Cons
  1. Not good for oily skin
  2. Wont remove tan
  3. Not actually a pack. Its gel that you have to massage
  4. Packaging makes it hard to remove the product
Final verdict : If you are over 30 or have dry skin go for it. If you dont then you dont need it.
Price : 80 rps

I was on the look for some nice cheap nail polishes. For some reason I like cheap nail polishes. All the ones I had, dried up. A good enough reason to buy a new nail polish. I went on several online websites and that is where  came across the Nail Juice polishes. The one thing that attracted me towards them was the packaging. It looked very different from the other nail polishes in the market. The sleek cylinder like look was very posh. I also liked the color range. From nudes to neon reds everything looked appealing and on trend. When I saw it was for 65 I had to get it. I had a coupon for 50 so I thought why not get two. I chose 22 a deep mauve, great for everyday and 38 a neon red.
38
Pros
  1. Cheap
  2. Thin in consistency
  3. Beautiful color range
  4. Sleek Packaging
  5. Pigmented
  6. Dries fast
Cons
  1. Not easily available
22
Final Verdict : Grab them while they last. I love these.

I have naturally curly hair. Usually in summer I prefer my hair curly as it is easy to do in the morning. The main element of styling is my diffuser. It comes with many hair dryers. Though I am not sure whether it is sold alone. For anyone with curly hair I would highly recommend this. It looks like a bowl with combs. I know funny right? It took me quite some time to perfect it. Now I will share with you a step by step procedure of how to diffuse your hair like a pro.
STEP 1 :
Start with wet hair. Add Any leave in serum to help with untangling your hair. Take a wide tooth comb and comb through your hair. I know you might think this is going to break down the curl but that is not true. After untangling you hair you are going to part it
STEP 2:

Once you are done parting you hair bring all the sections in front. As in let all the hair lie on your shoulder don't leave it behind on your back. Run you  hands through the hair. This will help separate the hair. Don't use a brush use your hand. Make sure that your hair are not in clumps together.
STEP 3:
This is where you will start applying your product. Start with one side of your hair. Take a marble size amount of gel ( I prefer Garnier Fructis Strong ) and work this through your hair from the root ( avoid scalp) to the tip. Constantly combing with your hands to make sure the hair does not clump together. Now tilt your head to the direction of the part. For example if you are doing your left part then tilt your head to the left. You can begin scrunching. Add more gel if needed. Follow up one the other side. I prefer to add mousse. It helps to control frizz
STEP 4 :
Once you are done you can take your diffuser. Gather all your hair into the diffuser and press the diffuser to your scalp. Your a basically gathering it in the bowl and then bringing the blow dryer towards your head.Turn the blow dryer on medium heat. Keep it there for a whole minute( time it ). Then switch it off and let the hair sit for about 10 seconds before releasing it. This is the technique. Now you can either section your hair further and do it or do it in two section.

Points to remember:
  1. Do not move the diffuser up and down when it is on. This will cause frizz.
  2. Do not run hands through hair once diffused
  3. You can take as small to large sections depending on hair type and texture.
  4. Do not add products after diffusing
Good luck !
